I believe that the poem that I chose, A crime against humanity, connects to the question, How does war distort human relationships.  I believe this because in the poem it talks about “the slaughter of innocent civilians” this means that soldiers are killing innocent people just because of what they believe in or where they live. By doing this the soldier will always have the guilt that he killed that person just like the man that killed his brother in The Sniper. Another line from the poem the reminds me of The Sniper is “General
, This court finds you guilty,
Of being the main perpetrator of the,
Rapes of the females in the refugee camps
And the abduction of children and turning them
, Into drugged and drunken child soldiers” this, for me, shows that its not always just the decision of the soldiers to join that side or even the war at all. The General of the sniper could have forced him to join that side of the war and separated him from his brother. For these reasons I believe that the poem A crime against humanity connects to the question that was asked.
